what color is what? if you're talking about his car are you serious? [sm=funnypostabove.gif]

anyways i'll answer: its denim blue. the one in his sig isn't blue because he always wanted a silver.

Really?!? And to think all this time I was calling his TT my twin! [&o]

Oh and btw it was the driver's side that got beat up on his lake silver 2000 180hp quattro TT with black leather interior.

John, I will probably keeping a few things in the event of finding another, but its 3-5 years to totally purge your insurance driving record, so unless I can find a much better job, I don't think I can afford to insure another TT right now. I WILL have one again eventually, I can promise that. Joking with the my insurance agent I told him I was going to buy another, and just park it in the garage, slowly stockpiling performance parts, until my insurance drops, and the car can awaken for its glorious return. : )

I hope your talking about the quarter turn caps, because thats what i'll be grabbing in a few minutes. I was missing one before the accident, and I dont know what I might have lost from the accident, but i'll grab you whatevers left.
Gracias, m'amigo!

Well, you can look at it this way - buy the time you decide to get another, you will be making more than twice what you are now, the new 07 style will be aged (and therefore slightly more afforadable) and mods for it will be plentiful! The crops will harbor much bounty and the villagers will rejoice!

hmmm... Sorry, I got my crystal ball from an old Hungarian gypsy and some of the old rhetoric still spills out

Mk I FOREVER!!!

I'm not a fan of the Mk. II, its been cheapened by its shared parts with the VW line.

Jeff, I checked out the inner fender, unfortunately the explosive impact transfered all the way across to the driver side of the car, and smashed that too. Theres actually tire scrub marks inside the wheel well on the driver side, I'm assuming its from when the engine was torn loose from its mounts, and driven to the driver side of teh engine bay, and farther yet, into the wheel well.

As for engine cover screws, I have a couple, thats the best I can do, the rest were broken off *(see above paragraph)

Gimme a day or so to recover from all the leg bending and whatnot I did, between working on the car, and going to work, I overdid it, and the swelling is back up in my knee. Initially, I refused treatment, but I broke down, and went to the doctor, and had her take me out of work for the rest of the week. Also got xrays, I'm waiting on the results.
So far the verdict is pretty much as you see it, massive hematoma, with some accompanied swelling in my knee and calf. The pressure from being on my feet is intense, so I still haven't unloaded the car.
I think I got most of what was listed, except the glove box, rubber door things, and door handles.

Glove box probably isn't gonna happen, Im not gonna pull it until I can talk with the adjuster and see if they mind. Thats a $700 part, and if its missing, and they have a problem with that, there goes $700 from my insurance check.
Door handles I probably wont do either, that takes a bit of time, and I dont know if you've seen any of my posts as to what the weather/temp has been here lately, but I was swapping rims in the dark, in 5°F snow last night, not fun anytime, especially not injured.
The rubber door things I just missed, I need to go back one more time for some more pics, and my diffuser, and the ECU code, I'll try to get them then.

Im gonna be a little picky about some of the stuff requested, it might be different if some of you guys were local and we could put a broken part back in its place, and/or you could help, but Im not risking mailing a big item, and ending up with the car being written off before the broken replacement makes it back, and suffering the cold for no reason. I'll help where i can, and I'm sorry if I cant.

Yeah, be careful - stripping your car may greatly effect your claim. This I know too well in my line of work.

yep, i have paypal, I'll post the email address once I have everything set, and I'm ready to start shipping, just so its all done at once.

There is some wear on the drivers side mat though, I'll grab them when i go back to the car, and I'll take a pic to show you, and then let you decide.

Funny, Im Matt, the things on the floor are mats, yet people like to spell my name as Mat, and you call the things on the floor matts.
