Default Question about a Forge Splitter

Will a forge splitter damage an 02 225hp Audi tt? I have been looking for somethig to get the "pppssshh" sound of a bov and I know a forge splitter makes a similar sound. But when look online, people have been saying it will damage my car even when on the website that sells it says it fits on my car. I figured this would be the best place to ask about it.

This is the splitter I was looking at:

no it wont, its a great upgrade from ur stock 710n DV it will give u a little sound but get an intake and it'll be much louder, it will cause u to run a little rich when u shift cause it does vent some air to atmosphere, but its not noticable, or bad for ur car, plus its alot shinier than ur stock valve

I've had one for several years on my '01 225 QC without issues.

Get yourself a MadMax DV. It's a modified evo DV. It by far the best DV for our cars. It makes some noise as well. I'll look for my video...

Honestly, you won't get any noise really unless you are moving enough air. So you better be chipped and if you stay with a dv, have an open intake.
