Default Question about something that doesnt seem to add up

i am sorry to bother you guys however i have been wondering i have tried with 225Q in stock form and pulled it however i have tried with my friend mk2 TT 2.0T and he always pulls me up top and he is stock whats the difference between a 225Q and an mk2 TT which should be slower right !!

i just want to know is my friend lying and is chipped or is it really that much faster than a 225Q. i believe i should have more than 200bhp with my mods i should be around 230bhp and he still pulls me it doesnt make sense. any explanation would be appreciated thanks.

you mean 3"dp and full 3" exhaust dont add much !!! however it is said in faq that doing DP is like being chipped all over again and also the car pulls much better with dp than before especially up top

he has dsg but is it faster than 225q because he easily pulls them and in the same night he pulled a 350z auto quite easily

The 2.0T is well, a 2L with higher compression, better flowing head, and larger turbo. All this leads to a much LONGER power band. I last dynoed in sig, but that is just spikes and no real power band. If i came across someone that had 180whp and 250wtq but it lasted for 2000-3000rpms instead of 500-750rpms, the other person would most likely win with weights be =.

Numbers are great, but a powerband is better
