I recently had some rattling in my front suspension and found out my sway bar links had worn out, after replacing them it only took about half of the noise away. Now I'm almost positive the rest of the noise is coming from the strut bushings/bearings. I read this write up, http://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1319039.phtml and noticed he said there might be a large bang if the suspension is not compressed when I take out the second nut, I have stock springs/struts and was wondering if I would have to stap the springs before i take off the nut? Anyone know for sure?
