I have a 180 HP 2000 TT and I want to upgrade to 2 tail pipes.. I have the plactic piece for the back bumper off a 225. Now my Question is how Loud would it be if I ran 2 straight pipes from the Resonator back to make the 2 tail pipes. has anyone done this?? also is there a better way of doing this cheaply. The other thing would be I don't want it too loud that I get pulled over. Or have any problems related to this.

 

If you have fwd, forget about it. If you have awd, you can do it. But it will sound like *** with just strait pipes.

well theres some videos on you tube and on af. my friend has a 225 w/ straight pipes. to me it sounds like a diesel at idle but when opened up it sounds like a beast . its not to loud he is just running a res and3" all around pipes hope this helps also do a search theres a lot of helpful things

 

Sorry about the Text. its fixxed now.. Thanks for the very fast replys. Yes its a quattro.. hmmm... guess I will have to check out what type of mufflers I can use as well. BTW I don't pick up my TT for about 2 weeks just bought it.. looking forward to driving it.. and the mods..

 

dunno when i'll have it uploaded, but i just made a vid of the 225 with the stock exhaust. it blows my mind. theres no engine noise off idle, it sounds just like the intake when the turbo is spooled, lots of air, moving fast.

 

urugly has a vid you can looked it up if you search on vortex's TT section. Not the most idle sound.

 

can't find anything! the search engine there blows, I put his name in and did a wildcard "*" search, and it came back with one hit from 2002.
