Default Radar Detectors?

I'm thinking of upgradeing to one of the built in systems. My girlfriend works at bestbuy and can get everything at cost (60% off car audio). Has anyone used a built in system before? What are your thoughts on it? I think I can getthe escort systemfor around $800.

Currently I'm using an escort 9500 radar. I like the gps (marks false spots, speed senstive, ect). I had the 8500 and it was ok (falsed a lot). I have a BCT-12 beartracker in the beater that just stoped working. That thing was awesome... it detects the cops radios. Actually banned production of them and it's a felony to have one in your car. Too bad.

I used to know a buddy who used the valentine one radar laser detector and worked great ive seen it mod fitted into the rear view mirror although an application like that would probably be pricey but has front and rear detection which alot of others dont.

I'm rock a V1, best $400 bucks I've ever spent on my car. keeps me out of the $800 dollar fines.
