Default Ran the TT down the track. *vid*

Well I finally ran my TT down the 1/4 mile just to see what I could get out of it. I was in the left lane and my friend in his 350z with 20 inch wheels was in the right lane. My reaction time was a .54 his was a 1.56 and I ran a 15.2 and he ran a 14.8 but I won due to his reaction time. Anyway, here's the video, let me know what ya think! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gEik4qfQIM

Nice video...what are the mods to the car? If anything, next time I would say get the rpms up to get a nicer launch and you could break into the 14's...also, can't be 100% sure w/o seeing your mod list, but maybe even shifting before redline might help too since you're out of the powerband by that point. Wotbox for 200 bux should easily get you into 14's

I've got APR catback exhaust, intake, and a diverter valve. That's it at the moment. Ya I was going to to shift earlier to get into the powerband a little more but some redneck dude with a S10 blew an oil line ALL the way down the track so I had to leave early. Maybe next time.

nice video bro , however you can get a much better launch than that drop the clutch at 4k and you're set man you would get him much easier , my TT can do much better than that and its a 180q , next time you would have much more fun at the track

Default TurboTT920. Are you running a WOT box?...

I have mine all wired up except for the wires going into the coil packs. I was all psyched about using it at an Audi/VW (Fixxfest) event coming up...but know I'm having second thoughts. Reason being, my car has a tendency to grind into 3rd gear (even having the sychros done). Reading conflicting info that it shifts like "butter" to if you screw up a shift you're going to ruin your tranny?

I'll take some videos of my run on Oct 16th. Any guesses on what my car will run in the 1/4 mile? (225 6sp APR3+)

^ You should be able to break into the 12's on pump and street tires, low 12's if not 11's on race and with a wot box turbott said above

15.2 is pretty good for a first time and in a heavy *** bolt on car. With a chip you can see a huge improvement over that.

I do have a WOT box but it's sitting in my garage...I'm in the middle of my build. Finally got the pistons and rods in this evening so it's just a matter of time. WOT box is not really on the to do list. right now I just wanna get running. I have heard of people saying the WOT box got rid of their grinding problems (haven't heard negatives excet with APR guys and CEL's). Also my friend's 337 GTI (6 speed 02M tranny) recently got a new (used) tranny and had 3rd gear grind issues. We put in Redline manual transmission fluid and that got rid of the grind 100%...I recommend the tranny fluid to anyone.
