Default Rassin-frassin new TT!

Okay, after some serious debating - I decided to go look into getting an 07 TT and trade in the 02. Got preapproved for the financing from my credit union, was all excited about the S-Line versions, etc... too cool, right?

Wrong. I should have done my research first (and read a few more threads on AF as well)and could have saved me some time with the bank!

Got on Audi's website and checked into the nearest dealerships (nearest is Santa Barbara - 100 miles away). Then I went to the"Build Your TT" section and damn! was I disappointed!

First off the 2.0T with a Premium (read S-Line) Package comes only in the S-Tronic and no Quattro! I love the Quattro!

Second, only the 3.2 DSG (also S-Line) comes in a manual tranny and Quattro - but no turbo and really crappy mpg (compared to the 2.0T). And I truly dig that turbo feel.

So I gave my appologies to the dealerships that emailed me and I'm going to wait for either the RS version or TDI to come (funny one of the salesman actually agreed with me and knew the TT pretty good)and then I'll trade my perfectly good 02 in...[&o]

I think the rumor is that the 08 2.0T will come in a manual, not sure on the quattro.

Well if it doesn't have what my 02 1.8T has as a basis - forget it.

The Quattro is a great (though heavy) effect to its performance. I may just have to wait for the TDI version - with that much torques coming off the turbo diesel and all four wheels a grabbin' - whew-weee! As you peeps in Cincy say "I'd be in hog heaven!"

That, the sharing of pedals with the passat, and a goofy looking steering wheel are why I'd never own one unless I blackmailed someone into buying it for me.

The 3.2L V6 is NA... no turbo, but yes it's a 6 speed with quattro.
Think this has been covered a plethora of times.

(I just wanted to use the word plethora!)
