I think you're on to something there..

If I'm at a stop light and I put the ebrake on then let the clutch out halfway and let it bog but not stall for the length of the light.. is that bad? I love sound, vibration, and especially the smell it makes. [8D]

ECS crap IMO.

Ray tried explaining it to me. I think something with the throwout and clutch fork andthe pressure plate not being able to clamp100% to the flywheelallowing itto slip just enough to wear sooner than later. I got less than 15k miles out of it. I think if I hadn't done the Uni tune it would have gone longer without slipping. The added torque just did it in.
The ecs kits are just sachs kits. They dont change anything. And sachs areone ofthe best clutches available. The clutch fork is a stock peice and is one of the problems in higher ho cars and shifting in higher rpms. People have them reinforced to hold the power and shift better. If the shift fork is the problem, thats a vw/audi problem, not sachs/ecs. The throughout bearing is also stock and shouldnt be a problem if a new one was installed and correctly. Which im sure it was

Someone asked earlier, too, but what's the power difference between the Stage 1 and the Stage 1+? For the 180 and the 225.

I'd get this, but I already have V-tec.

Since Ihave v-tec and a chip, if I get this too, my NOS won't work right.
