Default reflector delete DIY

Can someone point me toward a DIY on the headlights? I'm gonna do it this weekend.

I hope you don't end up with moisture in your headlights.

I have never used extra adhesive either, and have not had moisture issues. Make sure you "capture" all the OEM adhesive. "Build" it up in the joint once you have them apart. When you reassemble, put the light together, but don't press them hard together and do NOT put the clips on. Heat it in the oven, then press together and install the clips. This will insure a good bond with the original adhesive. The stuff is very sticky and heat activated. If you put silicone caulk in there you are asking for trouble. If you could find the same stuff, adding some may be OK, but it needs to mix/stick to the OEM stuff.

Also, the lights are NOT sealed elements. You will see fogging even on lights that have never been opened. That said, if you make a poor seal when you do your dissection, MUCH more liquid will get in through the seams and this will lead to excessive fogging when you wash the car and/or when it rains.

I have had my lights open 5+ times, and they still act "like new" with respect to fogging.
