Default Remote Start

Does anybody have a remote start for their manual TT? It's starting to cool down and I hate getting into my car all cold. I was wondering if this is possible and if anybody has one already. Do you think installing one would mess with all the electronics and give me a bigger headache later?

its can be done, but the newer the car, the bigger the pain the immobilizer becomes.

I have remote start on my super swoopy alarm system that doesnt work. However, its very difficult to find a neutral safety switch for the TT and even harder to put it in.

I wouldn't use remote start without it though. Seen too many cars drive into buildings without a driver in it because dealership folks park in gear.

Yeah its actually your electronic problems i've read that make me weary about hooking one up. I've just always wanted one and I hate walking out in the morning to turn it on and then just wait.

It is possible, you just need a immobilizer defeat made for the car. People at shops that park my car in gear make me want to punch them. I never do and everytime i start my car, i jump and stall [:@]
