Default Revo Chip

I have a 2002 TT180 Quattro 5-Speed manual and was looking to get the Revo download as well as the SPS switch. I am trying to find the safest mod possible as far as my factory warranty goes and was wondering if any of you have installed this program under a warranty. Is it possible for the dealer to detect this software? I would greatly appreciate any information regarding Revo software under a warranty.

Go APR if you're worried about 'safe' and 'stealth'. Get the lockout and the stock program.

REVO and APR are essentially identical (despite what I'm sure the REVO guys will say), but the APR has the excellent flipswitch control that makes things oh-so-easy. Need to go to the dealer? No problem. Use the cruise control stalk to put your ride in stock mode, lock it out, and voila. Got the car back from the dealer? Use the cc stalk to put in your code, unlock it, and put it in 93 octane mode. No bulky switcher thing to carry or deal with.

I'm not downing the REVO chip (it's excellent and I know many, many people that swear by it - in their V-Dubs), I just think the APR chip is easier to deal with, more mature, and has more convenient features, and their support is unparalleled.

I would go either with the APR or REVO tune whoever is closest to your area. I personally have the REVO tune and I think it is an excellent Tune and actually very mature It takes about 5 seconds to program from Performance mode to stock mode. Sure you have a Switch to deal with but it really is no big deal and you have a lot more options to choose from like Boost Adjustment, Type of Fuel used and Timing settings along with the Stock to Performance to Racing mode and even a Theft prevention mode where the car wont start even with the key. Very cool and I would say pretty well thought out and of course mature
