Default reworking my stock valance

So after dropping the 75 lbs I posted about in a previous thread, I couldn't leave my hands off my car. I made a rear deck platform w/hidden storage and was pleased with the outcome. Then I started to think about what more I could do. Keep in mind that I am doing everything by hand (no power tools) and have a VERY small budget.

I'm thinking of painting my stock valance either semi gloss or flat black. I'm also tossing around the idea of cutting a chunk out of the middle that would mimic a valance that TCarbon used to carry. I would fill the removed chunk with the front honeycomb grill that I removed when I did my FMIC.

If I fu(k it up, it'll be no big deal to just order one of the many aftermarket valances, hence why I have no worries about attempting this. Previous attempts at these kind of things have always turned out decent, I expect this to be no exception.

Opinions?

Yeah I agree. Just a Flat black would look sweet. And save a lot of time and headache.

Like this. Go for it. What's the worst that can happen? They look good with mesh insert also.

I scuffed the surface and sprayed it flat black. It's not too noticeable on my Dolomite Grey car, mainly you just see the difference in finish. But the car is filthy and it's cloudy/rainy here today.

I didn't cut it yet, but I'm still thinking about it. The stock honeycomb from the front bumper is flexy, so it'll conform to any curves. I bought some epoxy mix in a tube to attach it to the valance if/when I do it.
