if you have a t3/t4 57trim or 60trim whatever you said it was is not an optimum turbo for our engine. The flow will cause bad surging on anything over 20psi. So if you do have one of the above it would be wise to sell it for a profit.

We'll see how things work out.

Went ahead and installed my Starmate-R Sirius setup and it just activated. Cool stuff. The new 2007's with OEM sirius got me hooked on it. Picked up a free reciever, so I just had to buy an antenna and activate it.

I kinda thought of doing my sirius like that, decided to get the dremel out, and go a bit lower.

Its supposed to be stuck to a hinge so you can flip it forward and still get to stuff behind the unit. I broke it loose though on my CO trip, so I could get to the headphone jack (my radio was locked up at that point) Normally you wouldn't see those wires, they feed thru the sides of the tray. When its in there right, its very clean.

Also, I installed a small CPU fan in the bottom of the tray, with stainless wire screen covering it. I noticed that when its really hot out in the summer, the sirius unit would lock up, and the only way to fix it was to disconnect power. The cooling fan made a huge difference.

The cover still slides over w/o a problem, totally hiding it. The only way you'd know I have sat. radio is by the antenna, and I'd like to replace teh cell antenna on the roof with a shark fin or something, and hide that too.

Once its warmed up and I can finish the wiring w/o freezing my hands, the system will be wired into the headunit w/ a relay to splice into the CD line, so I can switch to sat. with the mode button, and a small hidden toggle switch. I think I'm going to run power to it so it turns on/off with the radio too, so theres no fear of running the battery dead.

Oh, i ended up finding a couple year old unit so i could get the red display, it matches great.

I like that, but that is where my Ipod is going when the kenwood interface comes. It seems realestate is at a premium when it comed to adding electronics.

Mine has the indigo illumination so it doesnt match the interior lighting, but it was free so I wont complain about it. It will record 45 minutes or so of audio though, which is cool. I'm not sure I'm going to leave it where its at, but it will work until I find something better. I think it looks alright there, but I would like to be able to close the ashtray drawer.

Do you have the FM direct connect? The FM transmitter is much, muchbetter then the one I'm currently using for the Ipod, but it still leaves a little to be desired for clarity. For another $30-40 I'd like to know its a huge improvement before I buy it.

right now i'm using the FM option, which FM option, I dunno. Whatever the sirius unit is capable of. In the future i'll be using the line out jack and splicing into the harness to the head unit. Hmmm... while im in there, I might as well just add a jack so I can plug my laptop in and play music off the hard drive. That would save me from having to buy a phatbox!

What a pain in the *** it is to get the bigger oil filter installed, even with a lift. But shes on fresh oil with a brand new drain plug to fix the leaky one. Got a extra filter (for nothing) from work, so the next change is free.

Also got an OEM Audi battery, thats never been installed if anyone wants a new one. I dont know what the rules are for shipping wet-cells so local might be easier(cheaper). PM me if you need one.

My buddy witha B6S4 also has an 85mm MAF housing i'm thinking about buying off him. He never used it, and I can probably get it cheap. Will be good for the turbo upgrade. It's bigger than the RS4 MAF so it may be a good option for an APR sized manifold/TB or something along those line.

We got a 225TT lease trade-in over the weekend too. Im hoping its got an LCD line or two out so they will CPO it and I'll get to swap mine for the core. My LCD goes crazy when it gets hot and my temp and fuel gauges are off. Too bad they wont let me swap a K03S turbo system into it.

The saga continues...

I ordered a complete set of engine cover hardware including the radiator core support pushy style fastners. I also ordered the factory touch up aerosol and a can of clear. The plan is to paint all the outer covers (coolant overflow, radiator support, battery) to match the body, after I sand them smooth. And stick the Carbonio cover in the middle with the Audi rings for kind of an RS4 like presentation. I also want to respray the sub grills to actually match, and the radio surround blue instead of matte black.

Also got a new dome light cover coming...been missing since I bought it.

Sometime this week or next I'm plugging in a manual boost controller and see if I can make it fly. I want to get it to spike at 15-16psi or so and see how good I can get it to run without the chip. I expect some surging to come along with the low budget boost mod so I need the Audi part number for the N75 'race' valve, just in case. If anyone has that handy, that would be great. This is just an experiment, and I'm only trying it because I can get it scanned immediately if it throws any codes. Its not going to be the permanent setup by any means. In the future the MBC will be used for a spike controller if necessary and an Apexi AVC-R will be used for wastegate duty.

If I can actually squeeze a significant amount of boost while maintaining smooth operation and no trouble codes, I'll post up on how to get it done. $150 for 5lbs sounds alot more reasonable then $550. I still plan on getting chipped, but then tuning to 20psi (which is where the spike controller might come in handy, since I dont really want to exceed that on the K03S) with the diode or a potentiometer.

So wish me luck on my little experiment.

you wont need to replace your n75, hell just replace that with the mbc. Plus you can run 16 easy and with the mbc the power will hold longer than with just the n75.

Plus what does the $150 compose of to increase the boost 5psi? Im guessing a boost machine. If you check here http://www.boostvalve.com/1.8info.html they show how to hook up a normal mbc in the same fashion.
