Default Seafoam

Hey guys how do you use seafoam on the Audi TT. I understand that yourr supposed to put some in your gas tank, and also pour some into some vaccum line while maintaining a high idle, but I'm not sure where to find that line. Can you guys show me with a picture or video? I drive a 225TTQ.

Let the car idle and pull off one of the smaller vacuum lines, try to use one that comes off of the intake. If the engine dies when you pull it off, look for a smaller diameter one. I used one that is near the throttle body.

Hold the hose in your fist, use your hand like a funnel to slowly add the Seafoam while the car is at idle. Don't stick the hose in the can, you can waterlock your engine. Slowly pour it in until you have used about 1/2 to 2/3 of the can. Shut the engine off and let sit for 30 minutes. Start the car and rev the engine until the white smoke dissipates. It will make quite a cloud, so don't be alarmed.

The worst you will do is make the engine die... nothing to worry about.

WTF is seafoam, other than the color of that Porsche up the road?

Pull the line going to that can looking thing at the left of the picture, its your fuel pressure regulator. the hose should only be a few inches long, and terminate on your intake manifold (the biggest aluminum thing visible under your hood). This is also where you would attach a boost gauge. Note that for future reference. Everyone should have a boost gauge, its not there for looks, its about as important as a fuel gauge.

oh yeah, thanks to whoevers fotki i stole that from. credit where credit is due. ; )
