Default Should I do it?

Hello, I am new to this forum and I have a question about a usedAudi TT I'm considering buying. I've always loved Audis since my first car(4000s). But now that I'm about to buy a TT i'm checking out the reliability and I seem to get a mixed response. Some people claim it is very reliable some people say they spend more time at the shop and broke down than driving. What is the consensus? The one I'm looking at is a 2001 225hp AWD 6 speed with 91k miles on it. Seems well taken care of and the timing belt was changed at 60k.

Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks,

Inibalir

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming the 600-1000 means 60k to 100k miles?

Yeah but 350z just isn't as cool as the TT!

Thanks,
Inibalir

I'm at 136K miles, my cluster is fine, my clutch is fine.

Plugs are NOT that much. I installed Denso IK22's, cost me about $50, and there isn't much that would cost you more than that.

I have a coilpack acting up, bought a new one for $28, should be installed by weekend.

Did my timing belt and everything related, including thermostat for $260.

Yes, there are some TT's that need more work/time/money invested, and theres others that have been well cared for and function flawlessly. Mine was one that wasn't cared for all that well, and I've been working on bringing it up to par. You WILL save a ton of money if you learn to do it yourself, but this goes for most cars. Know what you're looking for BEFORE you buy, and take care of your **** once you get it.
