Default Should I get a TT?

I currently drive a full bolt on 2008 BMW 135i pushing 400~WHP, and a POS B6 A4 3.0. And a RT4WD Civic Wagon. And another POS WD21 Nissan Pathfinder. I like cars, what can I say?

I'm currently debating wether or not to sell the BMW and get a MK1 TT 225 and mod it to about 300 crank HP. The MK1 TT design is close to, if not already 15 years old, and it still looks current. To me, that is a sign that this car will remain timeless. What says Audiforums? Will I be disappointed with the the handling? I don't track my car, but I do drive them like I stole them. What about in the snow? My A4 did OK last year, but I didn't feel as confident as some rear wheel drive cars I've driven with studded tires.

Help me out TT drivers!

Red face

You will fall in love with the build quality and the sense of classiness of the TT, you will hate the numb, lifeless steering and spend a bunch of money improving the handling!

I love mine but mostly for the exhaust sounds. I have the 3.2 V6.

I figured as much about the handling. I would likely slap some coilovers on, all urethane bushings, and beefy sway bars and call it a day in that department.

I really like the front end of your car. Very subtle/aggressive/classy. Is that stock with the 3.2?

Steering vagueness is easily solved with DEFCONs...

Not really. Drove a friends TT with defcons and it sharpened the steering but the numb heaviness was still there. Audi just is not known for great road feel.
