Default smoked corners question

You use a heat gun to heat the sealant when opening the lense but what steps are involved with closingit back up? Do you just heat it and squeeze it back together or should you add some new sealant? If so what kind?

thanks

remove front bumper
remove headlights
preheat oven to lowest setting
heat headlights for like 5-10 mins
remove headlight from oven
dissassemble headlight casing
grind tabs off of back of reflector
break reflector off
bodo 4 holes
sand
remove corners, be careful not to break
paint
install all back together
preheat oven again
heat headlight again
press together and reclip

It is not that bad. I just did it a couple of weekends ago. You can use the same sealant or put new sealant on. I used the old sealant, heated the lights back up, squeezed them together, put the 4 locking tabs on and let them cool. Turned out fine. If you are worried about moisture, you can spend an extra hour peeling off the old sealant and put some new sealant down.

when you put it back together, just heat up the sealant again a little bit, it regains its tackyness.... when you do the corners youll also notice that there are 4 clips on the headlights that also hold it together
