Wow, i hope you didnt pay to much for the BS you think you got. The ko4-001 IS NOT a 225 turbo. It is smaller than a ko4-20 thats in the 225 and only rated 5hp more than a ko3s. The only difference between the ko3s and ko4-001 is the ko4has a1-2mm larger turbine.

 

BTW, if you had read the FAQ's on top of the page you would of known better

i can understand that. I wonder if you are able to use the hot side so it bolts up to the 180 manifold and dp. and swap some inards to run the 225 compressor housing?
just trying to throw out an idea. Me personally, i will run a disco potato

 

Both the compressor and turbine wheel are bigger on the ko4-20 and they wouldnt fit.

well i got it out of a 225 TT so maybe its a different K04 then ?

thought it was the K04-001 because the shop told me it bolted right on?
So now im confused because if it came off a 225 TT
then its a 225 turbo

the junk car was a 2003 225 TT Q that had gotten T boned


and its in the car right now

and I replaced it because the Seal in the old turbo went bad and I was blowing blue smoke

 

either way even 5 hp more is good for 215ish if it is the k04-001 because i needed a new turbo anyways


but i am honestly really confused how if it came out of the 225 which i took it out myself with my dad
and its the K04-20
then how is it possible that the shop (which still has my car btw) says it fits?

If you have a 180 and you just swapped the turbo and used the stock manifold and dp, its NOT a ko4-20 and probably NOT a ko4-001. You need to get the part number to find out.
