poop

well the problem Im having right now is that I had the turbo changed right?
and the mechanic says hes driven it around and blue smoke is still coming out of the exhaust on acceleration

so I dunno what else would cause that other then the turbo failing.
what else could be causing it?

oil is getting into the exhaust one way or another. Could be through the TB with a really bad pcv or head gasket, orvalve cover gasket.

I just want my Black Pearl back
I'm sick of driving their crappy early 80s honda civic that takes what feels like 20minutes to just get to 40miles per hour

haha

to catch you up

seems like the previous owner of my car had already swapped the manifold/ down pipe and injectors and placed a K04-020 in my car
thus why it bolted right on when it shouldnt have been possible but the cars put together now and i know the turbo I got from that car was a K04
so a lucky break with that
which is a really strange accident to find out
but the whole reason i wanted the swap was because on acceleration my exhaust was expelling blue smoke, and figured the old turbo had failed
so when not get the 225 model turbo to replace it to get a little extra power out of my TT

welp everythings back together
and the car is still expelling blue smoke
which means i probably have a bad ring
and therefore would need to have the engine rebuilt
so i still dont have my car back yet because the shop is trying to rule out other reasons before
concluding that I will have to pay for an engine rebuild .
and im stuck driving an old honda the shop gave me as a loaner

rawr haha

You would have misfires and really bad performance if you have a bad ring. Have them check the compression and report back here. I would go out on a limb and say its not a bad compression

If it was the head gasket, it would most likely leak coolant into the cylinders, not oil, which means that it would make lots of white smoke, not blue. Its most likely a valve cover gasket or that little rubber seal around the valve stem(dont know what its called)

its blue smoke
which means from what i accurately know
Piston blow, Turbo seal blow, Valve stem seal problems, broken/worn piston rings

its Not white smoke
I never said that it was a Head Gasket problem so I dont know where you got that from 'B5 owns' haha

CincyTT, Thanks for all the help and the info man, I REALLY Appreciate it.
they're closed on the weekend so Ill call them monday and use your advice to talk to them

it was having bad performance though
thought it was the turbo for sure
when ever Id accelerate the car would let out blue smoke
and its was about 75-90 degrees here so I knew that any smoke at all that i could see in the rear view mirror at that temps not normal
the other problem i was noticing was that the car would also on acceleration that my Audi TT would go then kind of limit its self, then go, then limit its self then go within the first 2-3 seconds of acceleration and then drive normal, also noticed that the car still had power but a slight bit less then what I was familiar with the car having before the blue smoke showed up
it was strange, and it wasnt the clutch because I had the clutch go out on that Ford Probe I used to own so I know what it feels like to have the clutch not catch

think that helps to better diagnose the problem CincyTT?
also heard you're moving to Florida
I used to live in Punta Gorda on the west side of Florida
what part are you moving to?

I didnt say you had white smoke, I was telling you that it wasnt a head gasket like some people suggested because that would most likely make white smoke.
