I am driving down a road through town today on my way to practice and some lady in a jeep comes flying out of her driveway and into the side of my car...she didnt even give me a chance, i slammed on the brakes and tried to avoid her but could'nt. Her Jeep had no damage, and she was laughing on the other side of the road while looking over at my car, you would think a bight red TT would stand out enough. So whats the deal, I have not even had this car for 2 months and it gets spray painted up and side swiped, when I have been driving for years without vandalism or accidents. So how much do you think her insurance is going to have to shell out for this..also any tips or things I should have them check out that could have been damaged.

take it to the dealer for an estimate.
new door, electrics, paint, alignment (door) etc. i'm sure the dealer would do what they're good at, getting paid.
insurance would pay for the lowest bidder, so get the three highest estimates on the repair and send it to them.
might have to repaint the whole car to match the new door though.

please, quit being accident prone.

yea thats so dumb... i feel bad for you... just get estimates and report it to insurance... but your going to need a new door, window, mirror, electronics, paint, rear fender work.. yea just lots... sorry dude

I think you can ask her insurance for extra $$ over the repairs due to the car being worth less with an accident on the carfax report...

 

You should take notes of:

Pain
Loss of time
Emotional Stress
Time without your car while making payments
Value loss on car
Car repair time

 

I would ask if you could have her eyes surgically removed and sold to help pay for the repairs since she doesn't seem to use them.

Also, how about you find out how much medical costs they'd cover if you beat her face in?

Seriously, that is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard of...causing an accident then LAUGHING at the person you hit. If she'd pulled out a few feet more you could have been hurt. Well with the TT's front end safety and since you probably weren't going too fast maybe not...but still. It's not a laughing matter. If anything she ducked you out of a car for a while, and she ought to have the decency to be apologetic.
