Well this weekend was the first time i have really opened my car up (happy with the results so far). any way i was on my way home from thestrip. going down the interstate when, in the bottom of the screen where it tells you service soon and all that this thing popped up and said "2:00 hr" so i pulled in a gas station cut the car off started it againand it went away.so i start down the road and get on it a lil bit again and it does it again except this time my temp hand went one mark below normal also. but the car was running fine. any suggestions??? thanks

 

its normal...if you have a service manual look in it and you will find how to get rid of it

 

Normal as stated above.

 

If you drive 2 more hours it'll say 4, 2 more and it'll say 6.
That's the most I've gotten to so far but am planning a road trip this fall to New England.

 

push the reset button on the rightof the steering wheel...

 

okay thanks but now that the 2:00 hr thing is solved any one have any idea what would make my temp. hand jump up and down between normal and one mark less?? it seems to be running fine just the guage maybe or a bad thermostat...??? could it have anything to do w/ my intake or exhaust. the intake is just a cone filter on the maf and exhaustis a 3" custom catback

 

I've heard of temp guages giving folks problems... Most likely the gauge. If the coolant sensor is messed-up, you'll get a CEL. and code.

 

mine does it too... but only when I just cruise on the freeway in cold weather. if it does it at 100 F outside... it's not right...
