Default some nice findings

I was looking for a cheaper alternative to swapping out the maf + housing and cam across this

Just maf element - $90
Tool to remove security torx - $13
Garrett boost gauge (30in hg to 30psi) and matches really well - $47.50

I think i just found my next gauge when i go BT since mine only goes to 20psi.

Like the guage alot.

As for the sercurity torx I bought a whole set (9 bits I think) for $16 online. The5 point are only needed if you get a new MAF that comes with housing. The original torx were6 point.

If you have a5 point you can always remove with pliers and then swap with old6 point torx or a regular phillips or flathead..

But still nice finds.

I just like the fact that you can get about 2 sensor w/o the housing (that doesnt go bad) for the price of one referb unit.

Ryan, if you still have that link to the bits, throw it up.Im sure others may want/need it.

I completely lied previously. I ended up buying mine at Sears in the store. Something like $20. I found a few sets online though way back when I was looking to buy. I know you all can use google.

Here is my set. I purchased it with a little bit ratchet too because of the weird angle while its installed. Didn't want to remove the whole housing everytime I cleaned it. It was $36.93 total for everything in the picture. Sears doesn't have it listed on their website though.

There is also an ebay set too but it looks really really cheap.

I wonder if they sell individual bits. If so, you should be able to get the correct bit for maybe $5

The MAF is the only security torx i have seen on the car (and i have been just about everywhere), has anyone seen any others?

security torx work in regular torx though so if youre in the market to buy torx why not by a set that works for both.

and i'm really considering that guage though. serious find.
