Car was driving normal. All a sudden when stopped I notice the idle RPM bouncing up and down within 200rpm range and the car is making a LOUD PSHHHHHHH type sound coming out of the engine bay area now. Sounds like when you have a faucet turned on but without the actual sound of water hitting anything.

I was thinking something cracked big time and is letting out boost but dunno if that would cause the idle rpm to be jumping up and down like crazy.

 

Eithera boost hose popped off, or a vacuum hose ruptured. Both would cause the idle to bounce like that. Usually caused by an unmetered air leak.
