Default spark plugs/coil packs

just doing a little maintenance on the 2000 Audi tt FWD. Im at 93k miles and im replacing the spark plugs. Whats the best to buy that will be durable and will suit the needs of my chipped car? My coil packs are stock. Is there any benefit to replace them with the latest revision or am I just wasting money b/c they all work?

I'm not sure about the plugs, but I think NTK is prefered. I usually just buy my plugs from autozone.

Coil packs don't need to be replaced until they fail. The upgrade only increases their reliabiltiy, not performance.

NGK BKR6 or 7's and gapped to .028. Also stock packs are all you can use.

Also- make sure you gap them correctly... Mine missed when gapped at 0.039 insted of 0.028 (correct).

thanks i just bought the ngk 7's off ecs too. how long do these last? when do you change them out every oil change? lol I also got the APR R1 caus im at like 18psi with a unitronic chip which reminds me i also need a boost gauge badly. also I decided to buy a valve cover gasket too because mine needs replacing because there is a small oil leak. I bought gasket sealer too. Is the install for this hard? Do you basically just have to take off the coilpacks and the head? My buddy told me you have to take off the timing belt as well...... yet looking at it I don't see why you would have to do this. And while the head is off is there anything I can do to clean it up a bit? It has the cracky flakey old look to it. Thanks.

change the plugs every other oil change

The valve cover is easy. Just take off the packs and the bolts around the valve cover and replace the gasket after cleaning the surface. Plus there is no need for sealent, just replace the gasket.

change the plugs every other oil change Are you being serious? I would expect 20.000 miles
