i wouldn't spray the fat fives.

sell them on whoretex and pick up some cheap rims from the 5x100 section there... or edgeracing/alloys-r-us.

please believe it.

As with most things, it comes out much better if you have the time to do it right. When I had my Jetta, the finish was much smoother, but took a whole day to complete.
