Default SPRIIINGS??

Okay so I need some shocks and struts bad andmy car also needs lowered bad. I dont really "track" my car so I don't need/want coilovers. However I really want the car to be slammed. I was looking on Ebay and seen some H&R/vogtland race spings that said 1.75-2" drop but cant seem to find them for a TT Quattro. On my last car I bought a set of Skunk2 springs and they werent low enough so i cut about 1.5 rounds of of them and the did find but i have also heard stories of people cutting spring and them falling off the perches while turning or driving down the road.I dont really want to do this to theTT b/c its such a nice car buthas anyone else doneit and can give me a review. I deffinately want ATLEAST 1.5" of drop but would really like the 2" of the race springs if i could find them. I know anything after that is coilovers though. So to make a long post short where can i find some H&R Race springs?

ok, springs lead to bad shocks which leads to the cost of coilovers anyway...

just wait for coilovers

Yea well i got a friend who put coilovers on a sentra se-r (i know no where near the same car) and he has had a hard time getting them level all the way around and getting it aligned. He has been through 3 set of tires in the past year and even though i have the money to pay for them i would much rather buy mods than tires. ya know. I am still considering maybe some cheaper ones like your vmaxx's, no offense, but you know what i mean. But i would still like to know where and how much the race springs are, hell i might be cheaper just buying some decent coilovers in stead of newperformance shocks/struts and springs.

With a decent set of spring and either koni or bilstein shocks, you will still be about $100 more than coilovers. Vmaxx's are nice, but a nice 1.25-1.5 drop spring and new shocks will more likely be a more comfortable ride. Just depends on how much you want to spend. Also if you take it to a good shop, you wont have to worry about getting everything set correct

well well well...

i have had H&R race springs aka H&R "reds" on my TT Quattro for a good year and a half. shocks are still in good/decent condition. i was bound to get shocks sooner or later but i sprung for coilovers instead.

the vmaxx's should be installed this friday and i'll have my springs up for sale. let me know if you're interested!

the drop is pretty low for springs. that's why i love them. but ever since i got the new wheels, ive been wanting to slam it. btw here's a decent shot of the front drop:

none taken, the reason vmaxxs are cheaper is because they are galvanized btw. everything else i think is stainless steel? correct me if im wrong though, but im sure vmaxx is galvanized...

and the ride isnt all that bad... i mean, you hit a bump on stock suspension youll feel it anyway, just a little more on coilovers
