Starter issues again...I need help - 2nd one this year!
All starts. - Its loud when its cold, quiter when the car is warm. Its not disengaging quickly enough. - Its the same issue I had with my previous starter. - Same sound.
Here you go. I start the car 3x in the video. The 2nd time is the most audible. First start doesn't happen until like 14secs in.

Yes, that is the same noise my starter makes. - Please note that there is a rod with a gear on it that sticks out of your starter. - It spins your fly wheel to crank over your engine. (From what I'm told) - The issue both you and I are having is that when the starter spins the wheel (Kinda like a turtle tucking its head in its shell), its not pulling the rod with the gear on it back quickly enough. - The sound you hear is your starter not disengaging.
Same problem, I had it fixed once already. -

Thats what I'm thinking.
- I would have at least figured it would last longer than this. - Grr. Nice part is I didn't pay for the install last time, I just had it done while I was getting my clutch redone. - So atleast I'm not paying for double labor.
Anyone know how many hours it takes to put in a new starter?
