Default Stock Tire Size?

Could anyone please tell me the width of the 180 quattro tires? The side reads 225/45r17 and I just need to know so I can order aftermarket rims and use these tires since they are basically brand new.

Thanks

that would be a 17 by 7.5 rim, you could go a bit bigger like 17x8 or 17x8.5 but then you'd be stretching the tire a bit

you can go up to 8.5" on 225/45/17's width on tires. you'd be pushing it with a 9". a little stretch doesn't hurt~

i ran 225/40/18's on 9.5"s

It does hurt. I wouldn't recommend stretching 225 on anything over 8.5"

I'm planning to buy 235s instead of stock 225s, I think more tire looks good, and it adds protection. My 225s look like rubber bands lol

A centimeters difference won't hurt anything, 235's will be fine. I have 245's for my 18's, but thats a 8.5" wide rim.
