Default Subs For TT

For those of you who have an audio system in your TT. Curious on which way you are facing your subs? And why you chose that direction? Is it cause of space, design of box, or sound quality? I just want to get a little input on this before I decide to design/build my own enclosure.

I intend to use this sub http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...5T110D2&tp=111. Crutchfield has listed the price at 299., but I found a local shop that sells it for 159. As for the amp that will power that thing http://www.caraudiomag.com/testrepor...ier/index.html. It's a 1200 watt mono block, the one in the link is only 600. Basically it looks the same except it is 2x bigger and has dual cooling fans.

Use a sealed box and have them facing up......The sound will follow the roof (just like an old skool vw) and you wont hear the speaker "working". As for the amp, as long as its not a cheap one you'll be good, bridge the amp and run the speakers in parallel and you'll be good to go !!!

I only wan't 1 10" with dual vc. I had 2 12's with a 1000 watt JBL mono block. But that damn thing hits way too hard. So I gave it away, for now I like 10's cause hard and tight hitting bass.

I have tried mine in various directions,

facing back
facing up
facing forward with seats down
facing forward into rear seats

I like the facing forward into the rear seats best. Seems to hit the hardest that way.

Oh and running a JL 8W7 in a JL wedge box

See the thing is, I NEED to decide which is best. Cause lets say that if I face the sub forward into the back seat. That means the design of the box will make it sit at the very rear of the trunk. It will be custom made actually mold into that area of the trunk... If I face them up or towards the back of the car then that type of design is simple. GUess I just gotta go with what I like..thks for the input guys.

I built my box facing up with a small slant outward so it will hit off the rear window
