My friend just bought a 2000 TT 1.8 180hp and the tach is not working rite. While the engine is on, the tach is about 500 off the actual rpms. When the car is shut off, the tach needle will rest at what would be about -500rpms. How should we go about fixing this?

 

Anyone at least know how to get the bezel thing off to gain access to the tach and speedo?
