good deal. The hks housing are rather nice. You know that the kit makes power so get to it.

I think they used a custom tune with stock injectors, the kit dosent come with any software, but yes Unitronics is who I am going to go with, all I have to do is send Don R a list of everything that I have and they will make me a custom tune. They have a TT comming in, in July to get dynoed and tested with just about the same setup that I will be running so I am sure they will just tweak that tune.

I'm still waiting for my big commission to come in so I can get started on my kit as well. I'm going Del Rio through evolution motorsports. They're only about 7-8 miles from my house.

I'll also be going upgraded suspension, brembo brake kit, etc. I'd like to be close to 400hp but seeing how this is my daily driver, I still need to be able to live with it.

Hopefully it'll done before the end of the summer.

Is that 400whp or just on the motor. My goal is 400-450 wheel horsepower but still a daily driver and on regular gas 93+ that is. I am not a big fan of making huge power on race gas because who is gona say "No I cant go from the stoplight I gota go home and put some 116oct in the tank and ill be back." Better to make big power that you want on 93, then you can make even bigger when you go to the track. Just my thoughts anyways...

PS. What suspention upgrade are you going with?

he would have to be at the crank. it would be hard for a 2871r to make 400awhp, even on a .86 turbine. The most i have seen is 386fwhp and that was with a abd intake.

That is what I was thinking also, maybe with some huge cams, ported head, w/m injection, 116oct and umm i dunno what else. Ohh a different intake because ABD ranked worse on the small port flow sheet behind the OEM one.

you sure about that? ABD was the shocker of them all. It killed both the stock and dalhback ($1000+) manifolds. The only small port to flow more was the 007 manifold. The 2 main drawbacks to the abd oneare the bad fit and finish and it has short runners, so it pushes all power to the right. vwauditech with the 2871r .86 made 386fwhp with listed above, but no real powerband, everything was topend.

Here is the link to review the manifold results.

I stand corrected, I guess I didnt look at the flow sheet that well and I looked at this and I quote:
"ABD Retail price is $499.00
They said it was a big piece of crap. They remarked on how sloppy the lower flange was with regard to port alignment. (which i confirmed by comparing to an APR and my 007). They also complained about the casting slag. They didnt like that it used OE injector bosses. They basically said that while it performed moderately well, that it just wasnt a nice part."

But overall it did flow well for everything, I personally will pay the extra for the 007, or even the RMR in a small port. I would of like to see that one tested to find out how much flow it would of had.

I would just take the big port numbers and use those to draw the conclusions to the small port test. I personally would go with the 007 over the rest of them. But the ABD isnt that bad if you dont mind cleaning it up a little before installing. Plus, if you have a t3s60, 28r or 28rs, that would be a nice upgrade to add. If you have something bigger, deff not.
