is whats of my bumper enough to mount a votex lip over to hide damage?
is a mk1 180 bumper the same as a mk1 225 bumper?

No difference between 180, 225 and 3.2 on fitment.

I dont know if a votex will truly hide everything. It does notwrap to far around the underside.

If it hides it from plain view thats cool for me if the cracked one will hold it up, I dont care if i can see damage when its on the lift

apprently when I went to grt my new badgeless grille put in, the bottom didnt want to pop in all the way and the guiy who did the work for me (also did the suspension etc) seems to think the bumper mayve been damaged before anyways, so I dont know... ecodeparts had a silver front bumper for sale for only 250, though the thread was back from late last year, there was no indication it ever sold, I am hoping to get lucky finding a front bumper for now. thanks very much

So.....is this all I need then, #1, besides getting it painted presumably? A "front bumper cover" . 450 shipped isnt bad, not sure how much paint will be.
Yeah 3.2 is nice, its friggin 1200 dollars. shokan had nothing, I am waiting to hear back from ecodeparts.
I guess I could take it in and have the bumper dropped to see what else if anything needs replacement, ie the retainer or impact bar.

If insurance covered it you should just take it to a shop let them do all the work i can understand if you want to upgrade the bumper with insurance money but your not so why not have a shop do it? Can you save money by doing it yourself? Paint will run you 300 on the low end

Thats the suck, though about what I expected. Yeah I was hoping aftermarket with the money, but all of them seem to simply go over the stock cover, and mine is smashed up good. Other than the 3.2, which is just too exspensive. Apparently I ought not to lower my lip anyways since I currently smash it in to things [:'(]
