Default throttle body diy

anyone know how difficult it is to clean my tb? i only ask because of the bosch electrics plugged into the side. can it get wet? what do i clean it with carb cleaner?

you shouldnt need one. when you done cleaning it, put everything back together, turn the key but dont turn it all the way and let it re-align itself. You'll hear it working

im not gonna throw any error codes or anything? im a lttle afraid of getting the electrics wet when i clean it. whatever that bosch plug is. tps? anyway, if it can be done without needing to get audi involved im on it. this is to clear up a little hiccup at idle.

I took my TB all the way off when i cleaned it. Then i got some TB cleaner from advance auto and sprayed the inside of the TB till all the residue was gone. Waited for it to dry, hooked it back up and did the key in the ignition thing i mentioned. I never threw any codes.

Yeah when i idled it would drop down like it was bout to cut off so i cleaned it and it went away

very easy to clean even with it attached to intake manifold...although taking it off the intake manifold lets you clean the other side to take off unplug electrical connection and the four allen bolts surrounding the actual TB

i hope it works. thanks. i dont think a perfect idle is 2 mutch to ask. its also been a little rough on the morning cold starts. now i hope its dirty
