Throttle Body Problems?
Hi there, I'm posting on behalf of my brother. He is trying to do most of his work on his '01 TT solo (210HP, I'm not sure the exact model). He asks me for some advice, but otherwise he pretty much wants to do this on his own. A few days ago his TT started throwing the CEL, so I scanned it with my VAG. It showed 2 engine codes:

16825 - EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow
P0441 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: 0000 0000
A couple days after I took this scan, he tried to leave work and his car now won't start. It will fire, but then stall out. I haven't scanned it since to see if there are any new codes. So far we've been looking at the obvious; the TB. He pulled it off last night and cleaned it, though it wasn't awfully dirty. He plugged it back in, did a TB alignment and said he heard the high pitched sound of it adjusting. Still won't start.
Can the TB be broken but still make the sound for the alignment? I'm hoping to get over to his car to scan it again this weekend to see if there are any new codes, but I think it's fairly likely that the TB is the problem.

OK, I just got back from trying to help him again. When we cleaned the TB, I tested to make sure the valve moves, so I know it's not seized. Today I tried doing a TB Alignment using my VAG. There were no new codes, and the TB Alignment kept giving the ERROR message, so no luck there. Though, it is cold and the car is not in a garage, so perhaps the coolant temp being too cold has kept it from doing a proper alignment.
I will keep posting here with the hopes that some day someone might respond. I read up and the code that it's throwing for the TB could be the ECU (though everything else seems to be fine, ECU wise), the wiring, or the TB. Are there any other thoughts out there?
