Default Timing belt question

I just purchased a 2003 Audi TT Quatro roadster, with only 21,000 miles. It was one of several toy cars from a wealthy individual. I have been reading about possible timing belt issues with the TT.
The car is now 8 years old but has such low mileage. Should I have the belt replaced or am I being paranoid?
I took the car to the dealer before purchasing it. They stated that the car was in excellent condition, and there was nothing wrong with the car that they could find. They did not mention the timing belt.
All help will be appreciated.
Thank you

The belt is older and at a higher risk of skipping teeth. Check the belt throughly for wear and for stretch to see if it is ok. I would still replace it sooner than later to make sure you dont have any problems

Suggested replacement is usually recommended based on mileage and/or age. Eventhough mileage is low,the car is still @8 years old.
I wouldn't risk it. Most times failure happens without any warning.

Replace it, you will get no warning if the teeth peel off you just bought a bunch of valves not to mention the nicking of your pistons. I would replace every 3 years or 60K which ever comes first.
