Default Tint of the tails.

I was in Walmart today & while looking at paint I wondered over to the car area & noticed they had DIY tinting. Has anyone ever bought the roll themselves & cut out for the taillights before? I mean take out the whole taillight cut trim & stick on. I'm think if I get a cop who really doesn't like me it'll be easier to just peel it off than having to deal with painted ones. Cause I'm also wondering if it would start to peel ASAP during normal weather since it's not inside of the car?

Suggestions?

Is that stuff hard to put on? Also, how bout when you wash your car, does it come off easily or is it on there good enough? My paint is wearing off and looks like ***, so i'm lookin for something better.

to peel them off, all you need is a hair dryer in any weather! take your time though... patience is key~

edit: lamin-x is pretty much golden. this picture was like... 8 months after i got the tint and they still look pristine

Damn that look a very nice! Any problems with the cops? Oh and do you have to remove your tail lights to put it on?

^ heh nah. i still have my TT emblem. and yes in cali, i did get a ticket for my tails. fix-it-ticket though. the TT emblem is a real easy DIY, sand the clear coat off, tape it off and i used anodized red. and wow, it looks greaTT!

Yeah I was just wondering cause it looks blacked out in your pick. I did a little something different. I peeled off the mirror part, sanded it and sprayed it gloss black then put it back on. So now its black with that little bit of red outlining on it. I like it
