Default tire recommendations

Recently got a 2001 TT with 60,000 miles and want to get some new rubber. Drive mostly around town(some freeway)in Seattle(wet) area. Looking for advise on medium to upper quality tires for my silver bullet.

Thanks,
Charlie/Fishbeadtwo

I use Continental ContiTech all seasons and I've been pleased with them thus far (I just tested them in the snow recently too). When I ride the local country twisties they stick very well.

Never had one issue with fwd in rain or good amount of snow with Kuhmo ASX's. Great grip in dry weather also. Plus for 225/45/17, they are $95-100 each

I have Pirelli Pzero nero M+S (allseason)
overall a great tire, I would recommend it to anyone.

And at 130$ for a 225/40/18, they are 40 bucks cheaper then the regular Pzero nero.
They are made from the exact same mold as their summer variant, just a little softer compound.

I completely agree with the Pirelli Pzero nero M+S. The II version is MUCH better then the first. I paid a ton for them, but they are great. I have tested them in all weather conditions, with great results.

I had kumho ecsta summer tires in 225/45/R17 flavor. My car handled on rails and at $90 a tire it's a hell of a deal.

Fellow Seattle driver.

I'm running Kumho Ecsta's right now and they've been performing real well in the wet and dry.

I recently switched out to Toyo Proxes4. They'v been great on dry and wet, very little road noise. Had a chance to try in 4" of snow, they were quite good, good grip on acell, decent on braking.

Pricing was about $115 each
