Default Tire Size Reccomendations?
I have a set of 19x8 oz superturismos I am thinking about putting some tires on. Any recomendations on size? Obviously I know the diameter to go with Thanks

Yes, on an 8 inch width of tire you want to go 225. The 40 or 45 is the hieght of the tire. I recommend 40 series. and the last number would be 19 for the size of the rims. 225/40/19

Yes, on an 8 inch width of tire you want to go 225. The 40 or 45 is the hieght of the tire. I recommend 40 series. and the last number would be 19 for the size of the rims. 225/40/19
The second number is a percentage of the treadwidth, not a dimension. A 225/40-19 would make your speedo read low by 3mph, and your rolling radius would be 88mm oversized.

A 225/35-19 would be a closer match, only 18mm oversized, less than 1 mph difference on the speedo.

I never liked 35 series. Hit a pothole and you run the risk of ruining your rims. And I hear the lower the tire the more chance of it blowing when hot.

I run nitrogen in my tires. Won't prevent a blow out but helps keep much cooler inside the tire.
