Default transmission service

i'm about to change the manual transmission fluid and just wondering how much fluid to buy? i looked in my bentley manual and i think it says 1 quart. Just wondering if anyone has changed the transmission fluid in their Audi? it looks fairly easy. I'm doing this to help remedy some possible wearing syncros. heard this will help. plus the whole lifetime fluid thing is kinda strange. any advice would be nice

also does anyone know if the manual transmission housing takes a special tool to get the nut(bolt) off?

yeah, haldex comes in what looks like a caulk tube. You'll need a special wrench for the filter (if your changing it). You can buy it from the modshack for around $40.

qt of fluid and a filter cost me $63 from the dealer.
