Default Trying to get this new MBC working.

So, I got this TurboXS HPBC from my buddy with his SRT-4, and I'm trying to get it working. Its noting like the other craptastic MBC I had, so can someone eye this and tell me if the hoses are hooked up right? lol...

im going off the .pdf http://www.turboxs.com.au/downloads/...BC-Install.pdf

Any TIPS on setting this thing?

are my hoses right?

hoses are backwards. The mbc was also setup when you got it. When it comes to you, the tension on the spring is soft and the ball makes noise.

brass fitting is course/b&s
top is bleed/ fine.

The charge pipe goes the the brass nipple and the wastegate goes to the silver one

well, the course adjust was set until i followed the directions and backed it all the way back out and turned it until it didnt rattle

so whats the optimal way to set that again? and do i really want to start with the fine tune adjust at 3 full rotations and work it from there?

The fine tune is like 1psi for a 1/2 turn or so. The course is like 3psi for the same amount of turn. Turning the fine to 3 full turns wont hurt anything to start.

okay, it is boosting to 15 in 2nd, and boostin to 17 and holding at 16 in 3rd/4th. i have the green spring in the 007p. it really doesnt feel snappy at all though.

<edit> duh let me put the damn yellow spring in my 007p. lol... unless the green is safe for 17psi? lol

you can either add in a shim or 2 with the green or go to the yellow. Some think the shims and green is better and some say yellow. It will take you using both to see

yellow spring in. only seems to be boosting to 15 psi. heh.

does it matter which way i adjust the boost - ie with the coarse or the fine tune, or is it all the same in the end. i mean does the coarse control the tension on the b/s too? should i back off the coarse and open up the fine tune one more?

just depends on how you like the boost onset. I have mine mostly b&s and only 2-3psi done by the bleed. Just go B&S and if you need it smoother, then back the B&S back down and then increase the bleed to what you want

make sure you are turning the boost up and not down. Also, you did flip the mbc back around correct? That pic above is backwards.
