Please get a boost gauge and check your boost. If it is normal and you dont have a puffy cloud coming out your exhaust, your turbo is fine

I've just rung the garage. Seemingly the oil Was the problem and they've tested it. I will look into gettingaboost gauge then. Thanks for all your help on this. I really appreciate it.

So low oil created the problem? filling fixed it? doesn't sound right.

No, the oil that I put in it last week was too thin and I've reverted to the Texaco stuff that should have gone into it.

There is a list of approved oils you should be using in the FAQ on top of this page. The3 easiest to find are mobil 1 0w40, Castrol syntec 5w40, and Valvoline 5w30 synpower.

And being a girl should not affect how you take care of a car. There are more than a few girls here and all take great care of their cars. Also it is best to consult here like you did to prevent being taken advantage of at a shop. Most places like to overcharge you for having an Audi.
