Default TT Automatic

I currently own a A4 and im looking to buy a TT very soon which is why i joined this forum.......i was wondering if any one knows much about the automatic transmission in the tt......i know they came out in 2003-2004 but is it responsive? do they usually have problems? Is it even worth it???I own a manual right now and im kinda getting tired of it.

Does anyone have any knowledge with the auto tt's?????

I'm sure its just like the auto Jetta 1.8T's or FWD auto A4's. I don't think any regular member here in the TT section has a auto... just not popular to have a automatic sports car

I agree, You'll be a lot happier long term with a manual. - It will also give it a better resale value you later. - Most TT owners unless your a girl ( No offense Outtie!) drive a stick.

I'd say if an auto is what you want get one, but the manual in this car is quite impressive, I have a 2000 5 Speed. - It has been a TON of fun to drive. - Nothing more I love than throwing it down from 3rd into 2nd and taking a corner!

Its just the reg tip thats in the gti/jetta as said above. The only problem is you cant control the rpms with a auto and thats important if you want to enjoy a turbo car, even more so a turbo sports car

This car is SO much fun when you play in the Turbo. First 3500RPM's are kinda borning. - But once you throw her near 4k ...woooooooot!!!!!!!!!

I don't think I've ever even seen a 225 auto...not sure whether they exist.

The 3.2L TT (S-Line) which came out in 2004 has the DSG tranny.

the 180 fwd is the only MKI with a TIP and the VR6 is the only one with DSG
