Default TT Convertible Top Adjustment (Tightening)

Does anyone know how to adjust the convertible top for a 180hp, 2001 TT? I think the leak I have in the back is coming from the seal around the back where the top meets the deck in front of the trunk, the seal there. The seal feels good and soft. Inspection found no tears or problems. Possibly the top just is not pulling up enough and there is not enough contact pressure with the seal. If I can adjust the tension, hopefully the contact would improve and the leak disappear. Thanks all.

Default Top Adjustment

Don't know how to make adjustment but you better get if fixed soon before you short the comfort control mod ($900). I would take it to a top shop and let them tighten it up, if that is what is really causing the leak.

Default Top issue.

Does anyone have an answer for this old question? I just installed a new top (frame and all) and it opens and closes fine - except the rear does not seal up against the rubber weatherstrip of the boot (i.e. same issue Clinke posted in 2011)

Hey, I had this same problem and spent most of the day thinking I had bent the tension bar bracket until my neighbor realized that the L-bracket that bolts in with the two t-25 bolts was actually upside down. The L brackets need to be bolted in the "L" position with the flat part on the bottom, once I did this, the top presses tightly against the rubber seal

Check your rain gutter. The back seal is not 'water tight'. The gutter directs water to the drains, one on either side.
Make sure they are clear.
