hello,i am new to this site and i know it sounds silly but my friend brought the idea of a tt engine in a ford (for pure fun!), can any1 please tell me wheather it wud be possible or downright dumb! thanx

 

Haha, i'm leaning toward the side of dumb. That project would cost an arm and a leg. Besides, why would you want to disgrace the TT engine like that?

 

Why would you choose the TT and for what ford?

 

thanx for the reply, we chose the ford escort mk5 for the "idea" for the weight of the thing compared to the weight of the TT shell (though i do love the look of the tt, dont get me wrong!)its going to be a cosworth looka like but with the tt engine for the power for the track, we have established how and where to put the engine but its the wiring which seems to be the biggest obstakle,ohh the cost isnt important!!

cosworth? why would you use a TT to power a cosworth replica? you need a real powerplant (not that the TT powerplant isnt good) consider like a Buick T-Type or this

Hello again thanx for the replies, the reason y we didnt think of putting a power house in 1 like u sed, is because my mate (who i mentioned in the 1st)crashed his quite severly so thats y we chose to use his tt engine in a ford and i noticed that your mostly Americans and we're british so the ford escort u might be thinking of might possibly be different to the one's we have in our country here's a pic of a mark5 Ford Escort:[IMG][/IMG]

actually i had a wheel shop crome everything and a body shop paint every thing then i had them put clear coat on it
