My certificate came today, too! I can't wait to get the sucker fixed. Temp gauge off, fuel gauge off, tach dead, no center display. It's like having half a car.

Audi has finally admitted a cluster problem, and I can't understand why the dealerships make a big deal about replacing the cluster. It's not like they are doing it for free. They get reimbursed from the factory. I think a lot of times you end up dealing with some service writers ego and power trip. My center display pixels are disappearing, which so far is not a big problem, but I am going into the dealer and inquire about getting the cluster replaced. My car was purchased from the local dealer, and although I have never had it in for service, they sell a lot a Audis around here, so I'm hoping for a successful resolution. I will let you know the result.

I just noticed that the claims administrator website finally has an update.
The deadline for submitting claims was June 16, 2008. Late claims will not be considered. The Claims Administrator has now responded to all claims received. If your address changed since you submitted your claim form, you must provide the Claims Administrator with your current address.
Emphasis is mine. Link: http://www.instrumentclustersettlement.com/index.htm

Did anyone notice exactly when they posted this update?
Has everyone received a response? Mine must still be in the mail.

it stinks that my cluster is going bad, but i did not fall within the guidelines for this group. what a slap in the face. I missed the window by like 4 months. if only i would have taken it in to get replaced 8 months ago... :-(

^ I talked to University Audi here in Dallas yesterday (spoke with Ron) and he told me that the instrument cluster would be covered by Audi up to 6 years of the day the car has hit the road.

AMEN FOR 2003!

Sorry to revive the dead and beaten horse but I haven't seen any updates recently and find myself in the same situation as Chosos. I've got a '01 225QC, saw the paperwork on this settlement only went back 6 years, so I never filled anything out and at the time my car was working fine. Now my fuel gauge has gone on the frits, and my local stealership thinks its the cluster going bad. I doubt its the sender in the fuel tank because that was replaced when I got the car just under 2 years ago when my fuel gague was stuck on full and I ran out of gas the day I picked up the car from a local independant car lot. I just talked to the stealership about the issue and got the responce "I'm pretty sure its your cluster going bad and there is a lawsuit out on this issue". He told me to submit the paperwork for the settlement now that I have an issue (9/10) at which time I said I was pretty sure that the submission period on the settlement had expired. He countered with "I think Audi has some leway on this issue". I'm leery and think this is the start of the runaround. Anyone else in this situation, or have any advice?

The settlement administrator website seems pretty clear that the deadline has passed. However, it might be worth a call to another "stealership". Experience with this class action is going to vary from dealer to dealer. Or maybe call Audi corporate?

i'm sol as well. just picked up my car about a week and a half ago and few days later the cluster lays an egg. i took it out and it has writing all over the back with original and stuff so it looks like it might have been repaired before but no records on the car. i was thinking of just paying for it and bringing audi into small claims court. with all the documentation out there and the class action i don't see why a judge wouldn't side with us and get us a refund.

Default Cluster Back-Ordered From Germany?

There haven't been too many follow-up posts since the claims approval letters were sent out. How has the process gone for everyone?

In my case, the dealer said the clusters were on back -order and had to be shipped from Germany with ETA sometime next week. One would have thought Audi had enough time to prepare for this and have them in stock somewhere in the U.S.
