Default TT Performance

ok i know im gonna get ranted on for this.. but i wanna know more about the TT's performance. Starting out, I am not a ricer, i dont go crazy through traffic and race anyone i see. I just wanna know how the TT's compare to other performance cars on the road. I have the 225hp and I have noticed in the couple days of having it that every rice-burner eclipse and civic that looks at me and hears the exhaust thinks i wanna race, and they try for it. I know they have no chance, but what about BMW's, Porsche, other Audi's, corvette. I am new to Audi's and sportscars so I have read a little but i cant find much about how this car compares to others. i know its light and turbo with a good hp, but where does the TT stand with others?

You are beyond vague. You need to talk in terms of hp and 1/4et times. All the basic modding is again in the FAQ and more performance mods and whp numbers +/- are in the BT and HP sticky.

You call a 3000 pound 2 door light? Audi's are tanks.

i knew it was coming. I know the hp and all of that is in the FAQ. What i ment to say was.. without sounding like a ricer.. if was going to hit a 1/4 mile race with a M3, S2000, Boxster, etc. how would the 225hp TT match up? stock M3, stock S2000 to my stock 225 TT. I know an M3's hp is and i know what mine is, but with different weight differences, etc. just looking at hp wont say that one car is faster stock than another.
I just want a comparison for the TT.
Did i do a better job of explaining that?

2400-2600 i would consider light. Below that can take flight without proper downforce with enough power.

dragtimes.com will let you compare your car to other cars if your just wondering about driving in a straight line throw in some corners, traffic, red lights etc. and then it depends more on the drivers skill or stupidity

^ i miss my 2,400 lb. celica (loss majority of weight with a cf hood!).

unfortunately for me, i ended up with the 180TTQ. parts aren't as abundant as the 225/180FWD and it took nearly 7 years for a production DP. not to mention it's the slug of the bunch.

as for the TT in general, i say we could take the crown bolt-on for bolt-on among the audi 1.8T models... maybe some 2.0T's [:-] ... ?

OMG, im going to start having to lock your threads if you dont start reading the info given to you! <= NOT JOKING!

clipse, the only bad thing about the 180q is the dp and nothing else. Its actually the best plateform i think for starting with. You still get to use 180fwd and 225 parts and once you go BT, you get more power than a 225 and more traction than a 180fwd. But for trying to make it fast with a ko3, its not going to happen w/o nitrous.
