Default Tt-rs

Hi, does anyone here have info on the upcoming TT-RS? I have now heard a handfull of powertrain options. First which was last year it was gonna have a turbo 2.5 I5 from the MK5 VW's, then I saw a 3.2 VR6 twin turbo, a turbo 2.3 VR5 and now the 3.6 VR6... The first and the last are the only ones that seem likely. VW already killed off the VR5 so I cant see it making a comeback and a bi-turbo 3.2 VR6 sounds like overkill(HPA), and very expensive! Please give thoughts/opinions, im just curious about it...

Thanks, Matt.

from what i hear, it'll be have 2 sequential turbos on an inline-5. going for 70k euros.

imho, waste of money.i'd rather dump 40-50k USD on an exige/exige-s

I've seen quite a few Lotus' around here. Its a nice car, but I'd rather spend the loot on my MK1......you can do alot with that much $$$$.

Never understood the whole Sequential Turbo thing. It reminds me of those old hot rods with 3-2brl carbs. And on an in-line 5 no less.

Ive always thought that a sequential turbo set up would be great for the TT. You have great low-end response like your stock turbo with high-end power like a larger turbo.
Some of the articles Ive read make the combo seem very fuel efficient too you run on one turbo for low end and the other for high (IIRC)
This concept was thrown around with a TDI that VW was making in europe but it was for a supercharged and turbocharged TDI

I know of one member thats been thinking of doing the sequential set up for awhile, and Im sure she'll chime in once she sees this.

Someone posted this link on another forum. http://www.leftlanenews.com/audi-tt-rs-futur.html

Seems as though Audi somewhat listened to me... Sequential twin turbos, and quattro... Yum!
Now if Audi used the MKI body; I certainly buy one!

Hell yeah Inline 5, maybe its a sign of going back to the beastly days of the old 20v turbo 5. Remember the RS2... This TT RS could be the next legend!
