just wondering hows the TT in snow? with quattro of course. just wondering since it has a different AWD system then the A4, its haldex right? is that better or worse?

i currently have 2006 Scion tC with 13kmiles. I love this car but i want AWD, live in NYC and the tC sucks in snow.I was looking for an Audi A4 but it seems like the perfect next step up would be a Audi TT! i love its looks! im looking for 225hp TT also, any year. I am trying to trade it in so i get out even, or atleast around the same monthly payments im making right now. In May 2006 i financed ~$16000 and monthly payments are $275. If anyone knows of a TT in the NYC area let me know! and thanks, this was sort of my introduction.

 

quattro is nice as long as you have decent tires. I have the factory recommended all season continentals..i guess they were a few years old when i bought my 2000 quattro used..because so far, when it snows..i drive more cautiously than when i drove my 92 civic hatch in the snow.

my rear end comes out when there's snow/ice...it's kinda scary. I have a feeling if i had nice new all seasons, it'd be much better..and obviously, if i got snow tires, it'd be very nice. if you run snow tires on your TC, you should be good too..

regardless..i like having quattro..

 

I live in Canada where its a bloody winter wonderland and with theBlizzaks I runI'd say the TT is brilliant in the snow.

 

tC and TT have the same bolt pattern, 5x100!

 

I don't know much about the tC, but I don't think you could trade it in for $16k. You could however, get a nice tt for $16k.

The tt is great in snow, as long as it inst too deep (car is so low). I wouldn't think the tC would be too bad in the snow... I see people with them in the snow all the time. Maybe just buy new tires.

 

i unfortunently have a tt and didnt get the winter tires on in time... soooooo im running toyo t1-r in the snow and its beyond horrible but remember those are summer only tires... as long as you have winter tires it will run great... i slide around every corner, its kinda fun but stupid dangerious and the winter tires are going on like right now. i have a quattro
