So who might be interested in upgrading to a small k04 setup. I have the k04 -01 turbo on my car and was thinking of selling it. anyone want it? the kit will come with the following. Super k04-01 turbo (look up some info on it. It has a reworked compressor wheel that spools it up fast and hold boost longer) Samco type turbo inlet pipe from maf to turbo. (it is not made by samco but i gave them a shot and they are identical in construction. i would not put garbage on my car.) this kit bolts right up to the stock DP and intercooler. I have FMIC but i'm keeping it for the next turbo. I overbuilt it on purpose, feeling a possible change. the turbo has about 3k miles on it. it is in perfect condition, I ran a 14.2 1/4 mile with it with my giac k03 software on it. i had an aftermarket boost controller, but after tuning the software a bit with lemmiwinks from revo, i put the N75 valve back on and it ran much smoother. If interested i could sell the ecu with the kit as i wont need the software if i dont go giac. but that wont be right away. i would need it until i got my new turbo on it. power wise its a mild upgrade but definitely noticable. i am asking 600 for turbo and inlet pipe and if you want the ecu i would need another 200 + your stock ecu. my car is a 180ttquattro. so the ecu would have to be from the same car. the things you need for the kit to work great are: 4bar fpr and that it. dont forget that i'm also making a run of DP for the 180tt quattro. if not you can get a cheap DP on e-bay for the FWD tt. also GIAC is making a k04 software for the 180hp tt right now. but dont expect it to be out tomorrow.

thats a porsche turbo and wont fit directly or with any readily available manifold....SORRY!!

Plus it has been shown to be a not so good match for the 1.8t engine.

this turbo has the upgraded compressor wheel. its not just a k04. i re-read the post and i forgot to mention that. but again dont expect it to crank out 300 whp. it will get you to 240whp with the right tune. if you think you can get more do it but i can assure you it wont be done safely.
